Ryan is an 11 year old boy with autism and apraxia, living in North Richland Hills, TX with his family. Ryan’s RPM journey began in January 2014. He has attended several workshops with different RPM providers and he works daily with his mom at home doing lessons and several times a week with certified Soma-RPM provider, Adriana Barriga. Ryan began with making paper choices, moved to three stencils (A-I), (J-R), and (S-Z), then moved to two stencils (A-O) and (P-Z), then a rolled letter board with all 26 letters on it (which can be folded in two for A-O and P-Z) and now he uses a flat board with 26 letters on it to spell out his thoughts. You can learn more about Soma RPM at www.halo-soma.org.
Ryan’s interests include reading, riding his bike, listening to music, watching the Texas Rangers, doing Mad-Libs with his sister, and working out with his trainer. Ryan states that he wants to be treated equal despite his autism.
Stephanie is a stay-at-home mom to two wonderful children Ryan, 11, and Grace, 8. She is the wife to Randy, her amazing husband. The two of them make an excellent team, and together they can meet any challenge that life throws at them. Stephanie also helps to maintain her family’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/helpboblevinson working tirelessly to help bring attention to the kidnapping of her father, Bob Levinson, the longest held hostage in American history. Stephanie loves her family more than anything in the world. She hopes that one day soon Grace and Ryan will be reunited with their Grandpa Bob. That day can’t come soon enough.
